I am embarking on a huge project which I will try to complete by the end of the summer. We are adding new modules to our modular layout (www.RiverCity3Railers.org). I current own 12'. I will own another 6' to decorate. The new 6 ft section with be between the lumber yard and kit-bashed factory.....at the modular break visible in these pictures.
At York, I picked up a Morrison's Door Company for the unreal price of $75. I like to build my own structures, but I figured, at that price, how could I resist.....
I ordered an Oblong Box Company from Dennis Brennan.
I have 2 Korber modular factory kits to build a factory which will have a overhand of the spur.
Lastly, I have always liked this building from the Trackers layout. These pics are from the World Greatest Hobby Show in Northern Virginia in January 2010. I am told by the current Trackers that this building no longer exists. I will try to do something similar (the good nuns in grammar and high school always said that "imitation is the highest form of flattery").

It is going to be named Max Foods, after my granddog Max.
Andre, of River Leaf Models, says that he can help me with the signage.
Max is my son's Golden Doodle and while my son was at Yale and then worked in NYC for a year (2011-16), I took care of him. Now my son is in Charlottesville and took him back. I do have liberal visitation rights.
Since Max left, work on my home layout has slowed.....he is a electrical wizard which you can see in these photos.....Luckily, while my son is doing an externship in Wilmington this summer.... he will be here with us in Richmond. I should get more layout work done.
To build this building I have accumulated 6 Lionel kits (one of them open and used on an old layout).....
I will be posting my progress as I go along. The next thing I need to do is pick a brick color (suggestions are welcome).
I will be following along and looking forward to seeing you and Max's progress.
