    E811EEA9-6490-4CA1-B806-95B3C9204091Each member of the club who had an engine started in the yard and paired his controller to an engine.

Then moved out onto the layout, and coupled on to the consist.

When we got all three paired and coupled, we then together, each with his own controller, adjusted the speed and direction to match in group of three Menards engines.

The pairing of the control to the engine, would allow the engines to operate by them selves on the layout.

Watch @Steve "Papa" Eastman 's YouTube video in another thread. The remotes only work with a single engine. Two engines will run with two remotes, etc.

Not sure of the radio technology but it appears that an engine will pair with the first remote to send a signal.

I'm not familiar with Lionel's system either, but Steve says it appears to be similar.
