There comes a point in every prototype modeler's realm of reality that a man's gotta' stand up for his sense of decency and state the obvious....................................

Yechhhh!

Kinda' DO like the pickup truck in the first picture, though.  At least it's plausible.  (And regardless of my personal realistic railroading preferences, M&M's peanut candies are STILL my all-time favorite candy!)

Oh, well.  To each their own.

Bob - will the catalogue show up as a magazine pull-out anywhere ? I thought it might have last year ?

It should be in the Dec. issue  in CTT

Have any "real life" photos of the Valvoline tank car to show yet, Bob?   I would like to get one, but only if the "weathering" isn't that obvious.

Thanks for taking the time to add these photos Bob!  I am in a quandary, as I really wanted this tanker until I found out about the weathering.  I wonder how Menards decided, out of all their newest releases, to weather a "fantasy" item rather than any one of the other prototypical road names items just unveiled.

I picked up a Conrail hopper at Menards tonight, and there was a Penn Central that fell into my cart also.   The PC hopper has a very faded greenish blue color, I may give it some CR merger over paint in a few spots.   Will mix in nicely with the mix of PC CR rolling stock.

Yes, there has been some discussion about the "paleness" of their Penn Central green & Conrail blue items.   (Remarks of which are sometimes met with comments by some that we "shouldn't complain" because it is a $19.99 item.)

Dad, in the picture on the back page of your Menards city to me it looks like two different Dave's gas station buildings. From the angle of the pic it looks like the signs are different colors.............Paul 2.....downgraded from #1

Yes, you are correct. One is Dave's, the other one is from a few years back with Paul Menards Nascar in front of the station and also its labeled  Quaker  State. Good eyes !!! Now, see anything else ????

Nope, I'm looking at the building to the left of the water tower at the TOP of the page. (There are 2 water towers in this photo). Not the engine house in the back ground, but the building just to the left of the TOP water tower. Must be setting about 6" to the left of the TOP water tower on the layout.

Ahhhhhh. You guys have good eyes. Yes , it is a Menards building and its twin was just added after this picture was taken.... hows that ????

Great eyes  guys ! Well, the suspense  is over. It's the VERY FIRST Menards building  that was built in 2011. The Garden Center was next in 2012. From 2011-2013 there were 8 buildings made by Woodland Scenics.Bob20191030_10004720191030_100107
