Greetings! Wednesday is here once more, and another chance to celebrate our railroading spirit with the Midweek Photo thread.
Last week's thread featured Steamtown's Baldwin no. 26 on the Scranton Limited, which for the time being is a Friday and Saturday train. Sunday is when she is assigned the Caboose Experience train. This is a shorter trip. Maybe 10 minutes long, and is a chance to ride a different type of train. The caboose was built in Scranton, PA at the DL&W's Keyser Valley car shop.
A close up view of the piston rod, valve linkage and lubricator of this Baldwin 0-6-0.
Some of Steamtown's roundhouse is looking more sparkly as a result of a few one-day-only volunteers from a local company called MacTac adhesives. They washed off Grand Trunk Western 4-8-2 no. 6039 and Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 no. 759
This is what I have to offer for this spin around the week. Now, it is your turn to show us what ya got! Have a Happy Memorial Day this coming Monday.
