Here's a video of a SW8 pulling a train through Killbridge Junction. I made sure it had the transfer caboose on the rear for you, Jim!

I am certainly no expert, although a big Milwaukee fan. My two books on their freight cars show both black trucks and maroon trucks. I have no history right off hand as to why they painted both ways. I think the maroon trucks do look good on models as well as the real cars.
Here's some Penn Central action to kick off Midwest Monday this week:

Ray;
As I said, I don’t have a lot of Midwest cars on my roster, but the Milwaukee car was just too beautiful to pass up. It is an MTH Railking Milwaukee Road 50’ Double Door Boxcar, number 30-71055.

Paul,
Thanks for the info, it is a beautiful car, something I thought we may use as a fest car.

Tom - looks like the real thing, you keep finding new and interesting perspectives. As always, love the caboose.
Detroit Edison Coal Porters - Lionel most recently and MTH have produced nice coal porters. I thought it might be interesting to look at the two side by side. I have both Lionel runs and the earlier MTH but don't have the later (2004) 20-97145 Nos. 990033,990038. If anyone has those and wants to let them go, message me.
The Lionel and MTH visually match up perfectly (size) and the graphics are slightly different which is nice. Running a unit train with some difference is nicer then one where the cars are totally identical. Now all I need is a run of DE U30s or SD40s. I know lionel is doing the SW - Lionel car had the coal load (greyish)
AC&Y passing through Killbridge:
Have a great week!
