6" of snow? Doesn't even qualify for snow in Northwest Iowa. We already woke up to 7 above zero.

Dick;

The “greater metropolitan area” is a bit more crowded that NW Iowa, and chock full of cars and crazy drivers... this is a pic from the Bronx on Thursday night. Doesn’t take much to get New Yorkers (of which I am a former) going

Consider changing thread title to "Mike Wolf here tomorrow, NOV. 17th" or something like it.

Why?  He's at Trainland tomorrow.

Nowhere does that thread specify the day of cancellation; i.e. someone who, tomorrow, reads the title and the first post may easily conclude that "today" means Sat. Nov. 17th.

Um, yeah, but this thread was started by the owner of Nassau Hobby Center.  It was pertaining ONLY to the visit to Nassau Hobby Center.  (Most people seeing such a post would recognize it was pertaining to a previously announced store event, and not a generic announcement)

The visit to NHC is not happening today, no matter whether the reader thinks today means the 16th or the 17th.  I'm sure if it could have shifted by a day Charlie and Chris would have loved to host Mike on the 17th, but that's not how things play out, since he obviously has another commitment not impacted by the storm.  So your original suggestion on modifying the thread title is just plain wrong and lacks understanding of which store was posting about which event.

As described by others(and covered in another thread that is pretty active today), Mike  is at another local Long Island hobby shop on the 17th, so he will be otherwise occupied, and not at Nassau Hobby Center on the 17th either.

Each store was originally supposed to have a visit (on different days) and each store posted updates regarding their event.  Not too difficult to see that if you read them.
