My first post as a new contributor.  I'm working on a layout with decent aisle apace, walkarounds.  I'm running conventional and TMCC.  But I like to have mini control panels at various spots to control various sidings, Lionel accessories, lighting, etc.  Here is a prototype in progress.  About 2' long and 5" wide mdf board connected with small brass hinges.  What do others like to do in this regard?

Welcome to the Forum!  My layout is also designed as a walkaround, in my case using TMCC exclusively.  I have quite a few mini panels scattered around.  This one controls one end of my town of Summit.  Pushbutton controls for switches and magnetic uncouplers are shown on a track layout approximately where they are on the layout.  The toggle switch controls approach signals so that a mainline train doesn't come rolling through while the local is switching.
