Minimum track curves for MTH HO Scale Subway Sets?

Question on the MTH Subway Sets, what it the minimum curve that the sets can run and look realistic? I know that most basic HO RTR sets come with 18-inch radius (36" diameter) tracks, so that's a given.

My question is the next tighter curve down (15-inch radius), if the MTH cars can handle those. I presume so, as the IRT cars are 51 feet long close to a typical freight boxcar length, but I'm not sure on the couplers of the models as I've never seen one in person.
