I'm making a trip to Minneapolis soon and would like to know the locals' recommendations for train shops. Thanks!

Scale Model Supplies in St. Paul and Hub Hobby Center in Richfield. Both are large stores. Hub is a more broadly stocked hobby shop with a big train department and a nice selection of O gauge. SMS is more focused on traditional hobbies, including trains.
Hub also has a store in Little Canada just north of St. Paul, but the Richfield store, at about 20,000 square feet, is much larger.
Thanks Jim! I'll check those out.
Both Hub Hobby stores are about the same square footage with the Richfield store being slightly larger but Richfield has more trains significantly more trains. SMS has stuff from the 80's and 90's and a few modern items to boot. They have tons of trains but lots of older stuff and lots of HO and N.
Thanks Matt. It looks like Richfield is near the airport so that will be an easy stop.
