I thought it would be nice to feature Mr Button's "Missouri River Eagle" in its own thread.

Mr Button's scratch built or modified all existing kits. One of his primary interests is in the MoP. His collection of research on the cars and trains is extensive.
If I recall Jefferson also used a line of brass etched side kits of the MoP porthole cars by Bill Wolfer. Also Bill Basden also has been building an Eagle, his PS Planetarium car build is incredible.

A couple updated photos of the Missouri River Eagle. I got to ride it when I was much younger. The E7 is from Seacrest and it has an improved drive with a gear reduction head. Looks like a Snow or protocraft type drive? Very smooth and now with ESU loksound and tang band speaker. Cars are Oriental RPO/baggage, coaches MAC Shops, Atlas dome, DesPlains diner, Wolfer observation. Wolfer cars are just punched out windows. Lots of Archer rivets as Erik stated. DesPlains diner is an etched wraper. A real challenge to assemble with wood forms and torches. Basdens work is phenomenal as seen at OSW. jefferson

Very beautiful images throughout. Thanks for posting them.
A remarkable undertaking, Jeff. And beautifully executed as well.
How did you tint the windows?
I don't know how I missed this thread and the cool videos. Glad I stumbled on a great display.
Beautiful. Always enjoy your picks guys. Who made the PA1?
Is the A unit pilot coupler door piece manufacturer made or was it custom fabricated?
Awesome good modeling there, more photos please, especially mug shots of each part of the consist. Blown away. That Seagrave collection sure had some treasures, but the MP ACF passenger cars are REALLY hard to get right and they look right to me. Well done sir.
witzer, PA is Key, E7 by Overland. All factory done.
