A few days late from the official start date, but I want to congratulate my friend Stu Rankin on his new position as President of the TCA.

Stu is one of those guys whose passion for our hobby runs deep, his knowledge of Lionel products runs even deeper, and he has consistently demonstrated the abilty to get things done.

So Stu - I raise my glass and congratulate you on your well deserved new role to lead the TCA. The first round is on me the next time we get together.

Stu will make an excellent leader for TCA and has already proven his leadership through so many of his past actions on the executive committee, chair of the convention car committee, and lots of other things I can't even think about.

I don't know how you will be able to balance the rigors of having a full time job, family, and the needs of TCA, but if anyone can do it, I know you can.

Congrats on a position well earned.

Not only his knowledge of Lionel products, knew enough to have Atlas produce the 8000 gallon Pennsylvania tank cars and not Lionel.

Congratulations to my very good friend Stu Rankin on becoming TCA president. I told Stu many years ago that one day he would become TCA president. He will do a great job of running the TCA....into the ground.

Paul, not only should you be buying Stu a beer next time we are all together, you should be buying me one as well. The alternative is  a frivolous lawsuit . The fact that you are willing to take money out of your wallet to buy beer is a miracle in and of itself

Erol

Erol, I will gladly buy you a beer to prevent the frivilous lawsuit - however I have been advised that you drink like I play basketball - dribbling and unable to take a shot.

And contrary to popular belief, that creaking sound is my knees - not my wallet opening <G>

Have a good day gentlemen. And to keep it train related I am looking forward to the next specialty car that comes from the Rankin mind.

Paul
