This is an older, slightly used model of an MRC 270 Watt transformer, with 0-16VAC variable voltage to two tracks. This particular model makes use of a walk-around throttle with a 15' cord, one of which is supplied although the unit can handle two. There are programmable features for start-up voltage (so that the locomotive will start as soon as you move the throttle), and for acceleration and deceleration momentum (meaning you can program the rate of acceleration or deceleration delay to correspond to the load of the train). There is also a braking feature that allows you to brake without having to change direction. The unit is as shown in the picture, there are no gauges or displays like there are on newer models. There is 10 VAC fixed (Max 70VA) and 14VAC Fixed (Max 100VA) for accessories. Though it's in its original packaging in the photos, shipping will be in a "If it fits, it ships" box from USPS due to the weight and the preference to be able to charge a price including shipping for anywhere in the US. The cover of the box (which I'll include), besides saying "Runs Lionel trains better than ever before" also states "Compatible with most on board sound systems".
