MTH and GW - 180 Lionel Transformer

The 180 Watt alone seems to deliver good performance across the board.

So I guess the Lionel controller is the issue with MTH electronics.

Would it be risky using an MTH Z1000 controller with a Lionel 180 watt brick?

No.

I have used the 180 Lionel bricks with my Z4000 without any issues for both my MTH and Lionel engines.

Since the Z4000 is a complete transformer, I'm not sure how you "used" the PH180 with it.  Obviously, you can use them on the same layout, but the previous question was talking about using the PH180 as input the the Z1000 controller in place of the MTH 100W brick.
