MTH booth very impressive!

Yes, I was impressed with the MTH booth and the way they displayed the app also. I think this app is very impressive and look forward to Barry's book.

I agree!   They had several mini layouts as station where you can run an engine, or accessory.   I hooked up my iPhone to troubleshoot an issue I was a having and was able to control the engine / accessory / switch.   These stations were staffed and people were able to try out the app.  They did a great job with this display.  

I would think that someone from MTH would notice how dirty their display shelves were. Some glass cleaner  and paper towels would sure help.

Yes they did a great job for a fellow forum member and I traveled to York.  He wanted to inquire how MTH G scale works with the capability with other manufacturers and electronics.  He was able to speak directly with a MTH Engineer on Friday named "David" and he talked to Larry for quite a while.  Larry decided to get the WIFI unit and they pointed him to a dealer in the Orange hall that could assist.  Larry was able to get a free upgrade to the latest version with the MTH engineers.  Very good customer service in taking the time to talk, explain and assist with all that was going on in the Orange hall.  Larry was very pleased with the interaction of the folks at MTH.

I took my tiu and handheld,and at the last minute grabbed the wiu,didnt have to wait long to get the tiu/handheld updated,,mike was doing the handheld,they noticed I had my wiu,ask  when I got it and they said hand it that man over there and he will update that as well,,,,,impressed  

MTH seemed to have enough staff on-hand that one did not have to wait too long to speak to a (?) knowledgeable rep. As a non-DCS user contemplating joining the dark side, I really appreciated being able to ask questions.

This is what the "fun" of trains is all about.  Getting to play with the latest toys.  I really enjoyed the chance to put the system through its paces.

Although I am a Die-Hard Lionel Legacy Lover, Mike Wolf is a Team Leader and it's great to see the systems working together.  His April York Displays were really Hi-Tech and Very Professional Looking.  It's heartwarming to see the CEO inter-mingling and ecucating us Toy Train Operators with State of the Art Blue Tooth WiFi Technologies....This being said, our group here in middle Tennessee, Indiana, and Kentucky will go see Mr. Muffins for a day of Hands on TRAINING and Learning how to utilize both systems Together.. This hobby has come a long Way!! Hats off to Mike Wolf and his Fun Team...Now we can all Play Together....Thank You.

Mike Wolf and his company showed up big time with a large display and HANDS-ON displays with folks to try. 

What do you think Steve Musso and myself demonstrate at the Greenberg Edison shows? DCS, MTH Wi-Fi, MTH remote commander, Legacy and TMCC and we do a hands-on remotes to all folks. Folks ask me if it is ok for their kids to operate MY trains. The top speed is set so they will not go airborne. Kids love running the trains and we enjoy teaching them and the rest of the folks there.

Mike is out at a lot of train shows, not just York. I met him a couple of years ago at the NMRA show in Sacramento. I didn't know it was him at first until I started looking real close, I told my wife "Hey that's Mike Wolf!" She said "Oh that's nice!" LOL! But anyway I went back to get a catalog autographed by him, he was more than happy to do it. He was out and about and talking and listening to everybody. He gets out and gets to know his customers. And this NRMA show was not even a 1/4 of the size of York, yet he was still there. Kudo's to him!

Wait till August of each year. He is at every Dolphins home game and some of their away games on this side of the country. You can easily spot him there hoping for a win.

Yes, Mike is very approachable at any train show unlike Lionel and Atlas 's CEO/presidents who do not attend York and some of the other large shows/conventions. Cannot comment on the TCA national convention.
