While running my MTH 30-1638-1 Camelback Steam Engine I noticed sparking between the Engine and Tender.   Looking closer I found the Drawbar attachment screw had backed out and the screw head was dragging on the tracks.  I fumbled the parts but got it back together. Now when trying to start up in conventional mode, AC, the Engine seems completely dead, no headlight, no movement.  The red Tender Clearance Lights do light up, and the Horn & Bell work.  Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this problem further?

G & Bruce,  first, thank you.  I was able to get it to respond to the Remote on the DCS System, and on the second try it did remove the Engine on Factory Reset.  It then was able to find the Engine OK.  After Start-Up, the Bell and Whistle, and most other sound things I tried worked OK.  I repeated the process again. Still no Headlight, Smoke, or movement.  I tried the PFA routine and after the final Bell, no change of status.  So close, yet so far.  Your opinions are appreciated.    Dick

Thanks Barry,   I did take the drawbar out and used an ohmmeter and all the traces seem to be OK. No shorts between pins and continuity good.

I also tried conventional mode using an MRC Dual Power Supply but hand no luck doing a Factory Reset with the Horn and Bell buttons.   Are there special signals for Horn and Bell from an MTH Z4000 or should the MRC work as well?  Matter of interest, what is the signaling for Horn and Bell.

Not being an Engine repair person, I assume its time to find someone willing to tackle this out of warranty problem.   Appreciate your help.
