I have two consists that both seem to have the same problem. One is a F3 set (powered A, dummy B, and powered A). The other is a FT set, set up exactly the same as the F3’s. I am running V6.10 for software. When either consist (train) is started, both A’s start up fine, but the lead A wants to go forward (as it should) and the trailing A also wants to go in forward and not in reverse as it is programed to do. If I do a shutdown, and then another startup it usually runs as it should. What is causing this problem and how do I correct it.

Thanks for the info, will try it. But doesn't address the problem. Is this a software bug. Based on your reply, I am not the only one who has this problem.

Well, MTH knows about it, for some time now. "Press the direction button twice before moving". I have to do it whenever I run a mixed consist of PS2 and PS3 engines. If I forget it one time, that's usually when the consist will try and rip the train apart.

If your AA set is a master> slave set-up, then I am stumped. I didn't know they would also do this. I have a G scale PS2 Triplex for example that doesn't need this. The slave does what the lead does.
