Frankly, I just don't get the animosity to this specific item!   Please, by all means, make me understand why this particular item is a problem?  It's a fantasy piece for Heaven's sake, and IMO a pretty entertaining one!

Reminds me of negative comments that sometimes fly back and forth between 2 railers and 3 railers and scale vs traditional.    It's all the same hobby.   If one particular niche isn't your cup of tea no need to put it down - just don't post anything.

That FUN train aside, just maybe the "animosity" is directed at one of the worst American beers ever fostered on an unsuspecting public! If you drink Coor's Light, you might just as well drink water! LOL!

I drink Coors Light, it’s not the greatest and it’s not the worst. What does your beer snobbiness have to with trains? I also have a Fox Deluxe reefer, that’s far worse than Coors yet I harbor no animosity towards owners of that reefer

Matt, the problem is, those that I want to be interested... aren't.

The problem with this set is the overall width of the engine. The cylinders stick out so much further than any other.  Make your first run around the layout very slowly to ensure no mishaps. 

Yep, this, the VL-BB, and the 21" passenger cars will be the test pieces for clearance of obstacles!

It doesn’t fit on my Glenn Snyder shelves. Might have to get one STD Gauge run just for that train 

Good point Matt, the next set of shelves may include a couple of STD gauge ones for a couple of wide things.  At least one for the Coors Silver Bullet anyway.

Good thread and stimulating discussion.  We each have fun in our own way and we all need a good laugh or some whimsy now and then.  As for a non-stop commercial it would NOT make me buy Coors Light... it's one of the best light beers around but the genius at Coors is really their marketing.  

Making this into an alien/Area 51 train sounds intriguing... who's got pictures or video???  With Halloween and spooky stuff around the corner it's a perfect opportunity.

As per The Onion:  Any train with "raw frosty power" moving at 27,000 mph unbounded by rails is a disaster waiting to happen.  

But enough fun aside... back to trains.  This spurred me to put together my alien consist for our annual Halloween party.   That's another thread.
