I'm looking to buy a MTH DCS remote however, it MUST be the old style remote like the one on the product page for 50-1002. If you have one (for a decent price) please email me. I am paypal ready.

not unless you are looking for the old ...first version...50-1002...that are selling on Ebay for $300.00 to $500.00....new or used. Go figure....just because of the different thumb wheel.

How is the thumb-wheel different? Different tactile feel, easier/stiffer to roll, wheel larger smaller, sturdier?
That older thumbwheel with the smaller ridges hasn’t been made in a looooong time. I think that was only the first run. I bought my first DCS remote probably 10 years ago and it looks identical to the new 50-1038 model.
Still looking!
Thanks for bringing this up, but I wished you would have done so last week. Trainworld is now selling DCS remotes for $250. Last week they were still 199. I went ahead and bought a backup, still agitated I didn't buy it last week.
Still Looking! Yes, I'm aware of the one that just sold on ebay.
