I recently purchased an MTH DCS system to run proto sound 2 and 3 engines. I have it set up but every time I turn the power on I get a dead short. The set up is as follows power from Z750 using TIU Barrel Jack Adapter Cable to Fixed Input 1 and power out from fixed output 1 to track 1 lead to center rail and 1 lead to out side rail. Any thoughts or suggestions?? Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Is this with the track output connected to track? If so disconnect track power and try again. If no short than you have to look at track.
May need more info before answers can be provided. What version of TIU are you using? What version of DCS software are you using? Finally, I recall reading in other posts that the TIU itself may need to be separately powered. How are you powering the TIU (this wasn't mentioned in your explanation)?

Thanks Chuck... solved the initial problem with the short.... now it on the final installation on the DCS... It’s nice to know your out there if need be.....
