Can't argue with success, but it confuses me why Airplane Mode would make an impact on your WiFi connection the the MTH box.
@gunrunnerjohn posted:Actually, you need to do a two-step process to allow WiFi with Airplane mode. First, you turn on Airplane mode. Then you go back and turn on WiFi again as it will be disabled.
How to Use Wi-Fi with Airplane Mode On Android
Thanks John for the additional information. I think that's what I did incidentally, before I read your post. Just happy I'm back in the business of running trains as I have been frustrated with the system the last several weeks! I think that some of the gremlins popup when phones and tablets receive software upgrades. It might be best to dedicate a phone or tablet to just running trains and shy away from upgrades when they become available. My iPone is a 6 and it will remain debated to the layout after I get a new phone.
Cheers, Dave

It must be that Airplane Mode filters out any cellular interference.

Had a good run this morning! I put my phone on Airplane Mode again and then connected to the MTH Wi-Fi. Everything is working - Life is good in the train room!!
