Howdy i just picked up a mth 20-2210-1 PS1 GP7.  the front headlight is inop. i pulled the body off thinking i could just unscrew a bulb and replace it but there is a whole assembly that makes contact to tabs on the frame to light the bulb.  this thing will only ever run in forward, so can i take the rear light assembly and put it in the front?  do they slide out simply? i looked at it and said, this is a project for another day, put it back together and ran it some more.  thanks in advance!!

ps, already r.t.f.m, not much in it on removing the headlight. just says, remove and replace basically.......

ok, finally got a chance to look into this and fixed the problem. ill mention it here in case it happens to someone else. thanks for the advise above although I didnt notice it until yesterday. when you remove the body of the locomotive there are 4 springs on each end that make contact with electrical pads on each end of the locomotive. I noticed one of the springs on the offending end of the locomotive was noticeably shorter than the other 3. they are just pressed into a housing, so I pulled it out some and put it back together. presto, head light works.
