Peter...this is a want to buy post so we moved it to the proper forum.
If you're just replacing the actual marker lights and not the whole lamp assembly, I have the 2mm LED's.
On an aside, are these the same size as the ones used on Lionel steam engines? I don't really like the clear lenses on the latest Lionel engines because they don't match the previously used green ones even in green mode. If I buy any new engines from Lionel can I just change the bulbs back to green to match the rest of my engines?
Finding the 2mm green LEDs Lionel used will be a challenge, Lumex stopped making the 2mm ceramic LEDs. I haven't looked closely enough at the class lights on my new Lionel to see if you could put plain green LEDs in them.
Surely I could buy them through Lionel if the model had them on the previous runs, and they still had them in stock, right? Sorry for the thread hi-jack!

I wouldn't count on it, but keep searching, there's a work around for most anything it seems.
