My MTH O scale crossing gate touches the "ground" when in the down position...does anyone know if this can be adjusted so it will be level in the down position?

I did a search with the same question and found this dated post. Can anyone offer advice on how to adjust the down position of this crossing gate? There are two screw heads on the back of the gate, but I did not want to mess with them until I knew what I was doing. I did not find any mention of this in the VERY limited instructions the gates came with.

The bottom screw is the down limit. Turn it in to limit, out to increase.

Yes , I think you're going to have to mess with them.... Just take note of their position before adjusting the screw. A little at a time...
