I may have several extra. I know they're the same type found in earlier Railking passenger cars. (14v) What voltage are you using to the lights on the station platform? If you can't find one, there's a great source for train bulbs other than MTH but my laptop crashed with that info on it! Maybe someone else can chime in. But if you can't find right away I can send you a couple. (not sure if the extra I have are 18 or 14v.)

Let me know (martyandellenw@yahoo.com)

Thanks Marty.I guess it's not a big rush at the moment. The lights inside the station feature a heavy metal base. They handled the 18v track power fine. The platforms did not.The base of the bulb began to melt.No damage to the fixture itself.I know, rookie mistake.I'm going to install a 12v transformer for the station.Sure would be nice if the instructions weren't so vague.

That's what I would do, use a separate power source to power some accessories. At times in a hurry I'd just wire from the TIU or with track power and achieved the same result. Too much heat from the lamp at higher than 14v for those fixtures. Been there done that. Assuming the lamp comes out and the socket still works, a new bulb is all you need.
