I have MTH Passenger cars where the interior lights frequently burn out.
Would I be able to purchase led lights for these cars? Would LED lights solve this problem? Are harnesses sold for these? I would appreciate any help!

Once you've gone to LED lighting, you'll never look back! As it so happens, I created a kit to add LED lighting to passenger cars, each kit does two cars. Passenger Car LED Lighting Kit
Led lighting gives you better and more even lighting, it's flicker-free, the intensity is adjustable, and it has DCS protection to avoid impacting the MTH DCS track signal.

Alan, it's not necessary for someone to have an email address to receive help in the forum. The forum help is good because more than one person can contribute to the analysis and solution. I'm not sure why you keep harping on an email address, maybe there's a privacy issue here.

Here's a Before and After to show the difference this conversion makes. The cars look so good now and hardly draw any power.
The car on the left was converted using @gunrunnerjohn's circuit board.
