Repairing a dead Climax (proto 2/5V) loco that got smoked due a lengthy track short. The Motor is toast and I can get a replacement; my question it how to remove it. There are two screws from under the frame that attach to the 90 degree gear box; the box is loose and the assy wobles but does not come out. Has any one removed the motor from this Hill Crest Climax. The 5V was cratered but have a replacement. Any into is appreciated; thanks much; Falcon70

Gear box has to come apart. Hard to describe, but look closely and you will see other screws that need to come out. G
