guys I need a techs help. I have an mth traxx swiss cargo engine # 20-5632-1 with ps3 and operating pantographs.
The front small pantograph motor runs in the up position. it will not how ever run in the down position. the rear small pantograph motor operates and works the rear pantograph up and down just fine.
the front motor mechanism and belt are just fine. the belt is new and is not stretched out at all. in the pantograph menu when pressing f⬆️ on the remote the motor works and all gears turn as they should. when pressing f⬇️ on the remote the motor does not run at all. this leads me to belive I have a bad motor control board. am I close on my assumption here?
I tryed an engine factory reset. that did not solve the problem. what board drives these motors and could that be the issue? I am attaching a close up photo of a small pcb board that may be just what I am asking about. is this the board that controls the pantograph motors? and of so how much is a replacement board? or is this pcb even available? I will also take a picture of the front motor assembly to let you see that its is fine.
