MTH R40 Subway power

Hi all

This may have been asked before. I did search for this here and couldnt find out. I have noticed with this set that it runs alittle slow. I understand this set is heavy and longer than other sets that I own like R1, R142a, R21 etc. When I put on one of those sets than run faster than this set. I have no inclines in my layout. I currently use two MTH Z1000 to power my layout. My layout for now just consist of three loop tracks. I have pics in another post of my layout that i will try to load here. So can I assume that the MTH R40 just require more power and by maybe by using a more powerful transformer will help solve this issue. Or is it thats how they run?

That's how the R-40's run. Sluggish non-smooth operation with slippage on acceleration when pulling 6 cars.

I am definitely going to have MTH look into this car. Today I put the 4 car set on and it threw the transformer breaker which I believe it should not do. So I put on two cars and you can still see that it struggles as SIRT as said. But having power issues pulling two cars? Again this is the only train set that does this. The rest run just fine.

I read somewhere and someone else mentioned that Conductive Oil it what may be needed. Never heard of this before. I should have thought of cleaning the track. But why on this R40 car set and not the others this happens?
