Took a chance on a railking doodle bug that was on e bay for a good price and looked very clean. Took it out of the box, removed the cab and replaced the white battery with a brand new BCR red battery, cleaned up the truck and motor gears and it ran like new for several days during several test runs. This morning I put it on the track for a final test run before I put it back in the box, starts up but refuses to move out of neutral. When I push the direction button I either get a bell sound or several clank sounds. Very frustrating, this car ran perfectly until this morning.   I'm pretty much a postwar repair guy and have no experience with protosounds. Do these circuit boards die for no reason or misuse.  Thanks much.  Bill Makel

Followed Sinclair's instructions and this bug is moving again. Horn doesn't sound but I am giving it to a friend for an around the tree Christmas present and they don't care as long as it moves!
