I was looking on eBay the other night to get an idea on what to sell my Rudolph set for. I looked up the sold listings and came across this car selling for 516.00. it had quite a few bids on it. There was nothing special in the description about it. I was just wondering is this a rare car or something.?

Not that I know of, I think that it was a separate sale item from 2007. It might be a little hard to find, but certainly not rare.

Maybe someone really needed it to complete their set? I think that I remember seeing them at Gene's Trains years ago.

I think that all of the Rudolph Sets and cars are very popular for Christmas layouts.

I picked up the billboard car at the MTH auction and I didn’t notice that the sticker was wrinkled until I received the car which was my fault for not paying closer attention. No complaints as the auction was a good experience overall.

I saw that the Rudolph boxcar sold for $154 on the same day and someone just purchased the bumble tank car and the elf gondola packaged together for $700.

I’ve got the set and a few of the cars - I would like to expand it but those prices are insane.

I’m interested in the aquarium car but it’s currently listed for $900 packaged together with the billboard car. It’s hard to tell if the billboard is wrinkled, but I wouldn’t be pleased with wrinkles for $900.

if I wait long enough a reasonably priced aquarium car will come along or maybe I’ll find it at York.

Thank you for the pictures. I had to no be idea that some had wrinkles in them.  I have another weird thing on one of my cars. My four bay hopper which says white coal load has a black coal load. I bought all my cars new when they first came out. In fact I was at my hobby shop when they came in. So that's the way it came from MTH. I know the coal load can be easily removed and it never really bothered me.

Thanks for posting about the MTH Billboard flat car.  I was not aware of it before.

A homemade Christmas Billboard car will be a great addition to my Christmas train when I get some more Christmas pictures made.  All it takes is sticking some of my billboards to a flat car with double sided tape.
