Hello. I posted a bit ago. I am currently purchasing equipment, rolling stock, and everything else I need for a 3 rail layout I am planning. I hope to get started on the benchwork sometime before the end of May. But I fear I have made a tragic mistake.

I have been away from model railroading for at least a decade and when I decided the time was right to get back into trains, I saw a few sections of MTH Scaletrax and immediately fell in love with it.

I purchased the switches, operating track sections some curves and straights and then hit a brick wall. I can't find any kind of Scaletrax selection ANYWHERE! I have searched the internet and every hobby store in PA!

Does anyone know where I can purchase MTH Scaletrax track???

Can't be much help with your specific question, but did you know that track manufacturer (MTH) is going out of business this year?  And while some of the manufacturing pieces have been picked up by other businesses, I haven't heard about anyone else buying any of the track manufacturing tools.  You will be hard pressed. at this point, to find anything other than used product.

There should be a lot of ScaleTrax out there on the secondary market and if you like it (I do) it could be worth taking your time to acquire what you need. You didn't post the size of your planned layout. Their fextrack is the best and very easy to work with - much like HO flex. It bends easily and will spring back to straight easily when released. This feature enables you to create really smooth curves in whatever radii necessary. No track system is perfect but ScaleTrax has certain advantages over the others. Suggest you get Rich Batista's excellent video #1 on how to work with it before you start.  Good luck!
