Madison sound has many speakers but you'd have to check the dimensions as well as the other specs.

hi here is a 16 ohm 5 watt speaker part number for mth but you need to measure your exact speaker size and find out is is a 3 watt 5 watt 1/2 watt should be on the speaker magnet back then call midge at mth I believe is probabvly has a [s2 5 volt boards I it 8,4 volt battery. mth can help you freom here I look at your engine and it is a 2002 year bershire! part number for speaker I looked up is BF-0000022

You can actually use almost any 2" 16 ohm speaker successfully.  I doubt you're getting anything like 5 watts from the PS/2 amplifier, the one on 5V boards will put out 3 watts, but that's at 10% THD!  In order to minimize the distortion, it really needs to run closer to 1 watt.  The 3V PS/2 amp is a 2 watt amplifier.

Alan that part # BF-0000022 is not longer available mth website says # BF-0000033  "may work" ?

Not crazy about spending 20-25 dollars on something that "may work".

If the 0.25 speaker i tested worked very well with nice and clear sounds in the engine would a 5 watt do the same or will either tax the amp or not sound clear .

John thanks for your input , that 0.25w - 16 ohm sounded nice when installed and tested at this point not sure what to buy.

Really at a lost as to what proper speaker to install short of calling Midge as she might say same thing as website -the  # BF-0000033    "may work".

I'd just look for a 16 ohm speaker, I've put everything from a 1/2W to a 5W one on the 5V PS/2 board and they all worked just fine.

Using John's quote of having the PS2 5 volt 3 watts max... (if this will fit?)

I've used those Joe, they work fine.  AAMOF, I have a few in my parts box, they were cheap and work pretty well.

I thought I already posted this but it seems to have gone away. MTH now has 2 watt, 16 ohm speakers available.

Yes i saw those when doing a search at several places including the bay and decided to buy 1 for under 10.00 shipped.

Its the same measurements as well .

John once again thanks and if they work pretty well for you than i'm confident they will be just fine.

BF-33 is back in stock with an alternate speaker as substitute.  As Chuck stated. G

At 85 cents each bought some spares and installed 1 today same diameter speaker and it works pretty well so in the end back up and running with sound for a very reasonable cost.
