I know there are different versions of the MTH subway sets.  Do any have mechanical e-units or solid state reverse units? I'm working on a back & forth set up with timed stops at each end--planning on using Dallee Electronics units. Has anyone done this? Any advice or input is welcome.

I have the MTH Railking Redbird Subway Set 30-2392-1. I believe that the 

E-Unit is solid state. Here is the specs from MTH:
