After many years of being an MTH member with the club car premium I switched to the basic no car membership when the yearly car offerings did not appeal to me.  After 4 yrs of "Basic (no car) Membership" I switched back in April 2015 to a car category and selected the O gauge LC tinplate level.

At OCT '15 York MTH said they expected the '15 LCT club car to ship in NOV '15.   Well, it's April 2016 and there is still no sign of the 2015 club car.  I like and have many MTH products as well as many other brands, but MTH's continued postponements and product delays is frustrating and sometimes hard to understand when they own their factory in China and are not (or should not be) subjected to the production run timing or scheduling issues that might be encountered by the other companies who outsource production to a third party offshore manufacturer.  I will likely remain an MTH club member, but will go back to the basic $25 membership for the continued mailing of catalogs and member purchase discount on proto 2 or 3 upgrade boards if needed.  IMHO, MTH's product delays and failure to maintain or provide some of the other continually advertised club perks have eliminated the real or perceived value of those non-basic club levels.  I hope that they get their act together; MTH has no one to blame but themselves.

Still waiting for a second MTH S gauge catalog to release!   Did they finish rolling out all of the stuff from their first (2013-4?) catalog?

Still waiting on the F3's.

The rumor mill indicated MTH may go the brochure route for new releases in S (like the yet-to-show up production run of Trailer on Flat Cars) rather than a catalog.

Still waiting - they can't seem to get their club cars out at a reasonable time, much slower than the ones they provide for larger clubs like the TCA. LCCA and TTOS - shocking since we pay to be in these clubs and by the time you get the car it's a year down the road so essentially we are paying $50.00 for catalogs.

Like smoke fluid at $9.00 per 2 OZ bottle - At $1.75 / gallon of gas - mmmm that's almost 3 gallons of gas - I am afraid to do the conversion - $9.00 * 64 OZ - Wow.

Atlas has done a better job over the last year getting their cars out to members, MTH still needs improvement and I this year I might stop buying the LCCA club cars because the price has gone beyond what is realistic. Current convention pre - order car is nice but ......

Nope, still waiting. I have pretty much have had enough of supporting club cars. I will support clubs where cars are available - I looked at the recent TCA pub and there are nice ones available.

Being a person who has been in production for 3 years it is incredibly irresponsible for manufacturers not to deliver as promised.

Maybe they don't really want clubs, club cars, etc. It is like lending money with no interest.

Maybe a simple class action law suit will get them to act like professionals, meet their obligations and deliver on time.

Or, we, the collective clubs Members need NOT to renew. Dent their cash flow - free money and they might respond.

Its not like they are using new tools. Same item just a different paint scheme.

We are totally disrespected - yet we support them by buying their merchandise.

Totally PO'd by the process. Going to rethink this.

PSU1980,

Have you either contacts your LHS or MTH yet to find out what happened to your car? I know from experience I did have to do that once and I had my car shortly there after. Call MTH and Talk to someone in the MTHRR Club area. Maybe they never received your Membership dues for 2015. Hope you find something out soon. I have received mine and checked to see if they received my 2016 dues as well.

Take care and hope you have luck soon

Don

If there is a MTHRR club web site or page, it is certainly well hidden. I've never been able to find it. The Club link that is there only gets me to a page summarizing the "benefits" and extolling me to sign up. I've never been able to find a page cataloging the club cars nor an offer to buy extras, past cars, or much of anything to purchase at the "club discount". New catalogs seem to show the current/coming club car.
