Looking good is right!  You really have an "eye" for the weathering and such.  I like how everything on the layout from buildings to roadways to rolling stock and the engines themselves has a "uniform" appearance....meaning that nothing looks out of place or like an afterthought...it all just really flows together nicely.  Great work and the Q1 is an eye catcher...excellent modeling Norm.

The Q1 looks and sounds great running on your layout.  Loved that last shot in the video when the camera is looking up at the engine and following it across the bridge.  Good stuff!

I've never seen Q1 look so good!  The shot at 1:06 really shows her off.

 

The shot of the station and switch tower at 0:22 - Modeling doesn't get any better than that.

Yes, especially since I was pleasantly surprised to find a full ERRCo setup in this engine that I paid less than $500 for. I was going to install this package anyway so this saved me a few bucks and a bit of time. Swapping the ROM is a no-brainer at this point, just far down the list of things I need to do. No worries whatsoever.

Norm, each time I see your amazing work I find myself slack jawed at the incredible realism of the scene.  At first and second glance you think you are watching a real locomotive run-by in a film from 70+ years ago.  Great lighting, love the details of all the structures, scenery and background color that accurately mimics a slightly hazy/cloudy day.

Wow....you tore down a layout that many would consider a paradigm of sorts....and built something even more impressive.  Very well done, to say the least.

Thanks again guys. Ron, I am using my Canon SX30 for this set of photos and video. I have been using my iPhone and iPad a lot lately but I like my 'real' camera once in a while since I can shoot/frame things in 16:9.

 

The longer I watched this standout layout, the more I noticed that nothing stands out. Everything fits together as it should. Nice job Lad!
