My American Flyer Big Boy was having a misfire with the sound system, it missed one chugg per wheel revolution. I contacted Ed Goldin about getting it repaired and he agreed to taking the job. I sent it to him and in very short order it was repaired and returned to me. I am attaching a link to a short video of it running on my layout after the repair. This is still my favorite Legacy locomotive, Thank you Ed!

It's great to see a new video of your layout Ray.  Your videos were some of the first S scale layout videos I ever watched.  I love that long ore car consist.

You can always count on Ed.  I recently gave up on trying to fix my Legacy Berkshire's stalling issue, so Ed has it now, and I am sure it will come back in perfect working order.

I had the same issue on mine. The problem was that the four cam lobe on one axle that the micro switch operates on has one lobe slightly undersize to the others. I had to give the lever on the micro switch a slight adjustment down so that it made contact with all lobes.

Yes, I have heard of that, I looked at mine but decided I would not tackle the job. Good decision on my part as Ed found the cam to be cracked and replaced it with a 3d printed cam and adjusted the switch.

Francine and Chuck, thanks for the kind words, I'll have to watch for those bottles🤔

Ray have you considered sizing the engines trailing trucks and the tender front truck.  I was able to that by buying the challenger trucks and placing them on the engine and tender.  I also cut of the centipede sides and moved them in slightly........Yes I got the idea from Carl Tuveson web site.  I think the engine looks so much better.......Just a thought.
