Hello Alex
So sorry to hear about your father's passing . There are not many things I can say to you at a time like this other than I am truly sorry . Loosing a parent is obviously a very difficult thing to go through. Just want you to be aware that like all the rest of your buddies here at the forum and everywhere else I am sure you know we are all standing with you at this point - sending you our deepest sympathy and a hope that the pain of your loss gets replaced by all the great memories of your father and all the wonderful gifts he brought to you. Once again my deepest and most sincere sympathy to you and your family

So sorry to hear. You have my condolences. I lost my dad 10 years ago. TODAY would have been his 98th birthday.
Alex, very sorry to hear about your dad, My dad got me my first Lionel train when I was 5. Like you I'm still playing with trains and I'm over 70. We can remember them every time we run trains.
Sorry to hear, may he rest in peace.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for sharing your dad's obituary--being as brief as it is, it couldn't possibly say it all but it says enough--what a lovely guy and lucky you for having a father like that! I am sorry for your loss and encouraged by his legacy.
Jim
In my prayers Alex!!!
Alex, As I am sure you well know, you have been fortunate and blessed to have had the privilege and joy of your father's company well into your adult years. My father died when I was ten, so anybody who has had his father in his life longer than that has my admiration, as well as my sincerest sympathy for your loss of him, now. You had a long time to love him. That will never stop, I am sure.
Very sincerely,
FrankM
Hi Alex, very sorry for your loss. Your article in OGR on building a layout for him is one of my favorites. Your dad was a special guy and lucky to have you as a son. Dave
