It is obvious that your Dad was a terrific man and father. He lived a long and wonderful life, with so many fond memories to cherish. So sorry to hear about his passing. It is always difficult to lose a parent. I lost both my Dad and my Mom a few years back.

Loosing a parent is obviously a very difficult thing to go through. Alex, very sorry to hear about your dad,  My dad got me my first Lionel train when I was 5. Like you I'm still playing with trains and I'm over 70.  We can remember them every time we run trains.

Alex, As I am sure you well know, you have been fortunate and blessed to have had the privilege and joy of your father's company well into your adult years. My father died when I was ten, so anybody who has had his father in his life longer than that has my admiration, as well as my sincerest sympathy for your loss of him, now.
