Recently, all my emails from this forum have been going into my junk mail folder.  This is something that did not happen before.  I have no idea why it is happening now.  I  use a Mac and have gone so far as to create a rule that all emails from OGRR are to go into my inbox, but that did not seem to make any difference.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,.

I just looked at my mac mail setup. The way their junk filters work, if you have email from the sender in your inbox, they won't flag further ones. I suggest right clicking on an ogrr email in your junk folder, and click the button saying "not spam", the message should go back into your inbox. At that point (hopefully) new messages will go into inbox, that has worked for me in the past. It could be that there is a subtle change in the format of the incoming message, maybe the ISP that OGRR works with changed something in the email headers, you never really know. In any event, taking several messages, and marking them "not spam" may work for future ones. Worth a shot, the rules can be tricky, and be careful especially if doing something like using the recipient email, that you be mindful of case, lot of things are not case sensitive (easiest thing is to unpack the header on the mail you receive, copy and past that into your rule for received emails in terms of senders.

Nothing has changed here in the way the forum server sends emails. There is no ISP involved. Emails are sent directly from this server, not via an ISP.

There is nothing we can do on the sending side to affect how your email is filtered on the receiving side. Filtering your email is something totally under your control.

Bigkid,. I did what you suggested several times, with negative results.

However, now that I've made a fuss, five forum emails just showed up in my inbox.  Don't know why, but maybe it magically corrected itself.  Hey, I'm 76 years old and not real tech oriented.

Rich, thank you.

I never thought the forum was at fault.  I was pretty sure the problem was on my end, but was just hoping someone might have had the same problem and figured it out.

Sometimes mail goes into junk filter without doing anything, I have gotten forum emails in junk when using the gmail app on my android phone occassionally. Sometimes it is the subject of the mail or the contents as well. One thing that may work if you start seeing the problem is reset the settings back to factory default (after noting what your rules/filters) looks like, and recreating them. It is a PITA, but resetting back like that often allows you to get it working again.

I get a lot of emails from OGR because I follow a lot of topics.  Often, I'll get a half-dozen or more on the same topic, so I'll open one and then click on the topic rather than opening all of the other emails.  Thus, a lot of emails from OGR go unread, so Outlook sometimes thinks that I'm no longer interested and starts sending them to the junk file.  I've mostly fixed this by marking a lot of the emails as "read".  Outlook still randomly treats some as junk.

Remember that the computer is smarter than you are and knows what is best for you.
