"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

1/9 th scale, whole Diorama is 74"x74" over 450 hours to complete. This took me around 6 months to complete......Over 4000 shingles hand glued. The rocks, soil, twigs all came from Incline Village Nevada where the Ranch house stands. The barrels are from Toys R US.. the game barrel of monkeys. The figures were released in 1966, after Pernell Roberts left the show in order as not to lose interest of the TV show. They cost $300.00.....After painting the figures I knew I had to build the house, so we took a vacation to Lake Tahoe, 9 hour drive from my home in Los Angeles . and I measured the house and down scaled it to 1/9 scale. I got 2 -5-gal buckets full of dirt, rocks, twigs.and sand. I use dollhouse scale bed post for the rocking chair, the runners are Balsa Wood . everything is hand made but flower pots, door knocker. 10463873_533392283453840_1874405777978334272_n10435944_533346123458456_4315109164018675793_n10347790_533345973458471_7980026545804280816_n10362844_533345903458478_4426128564603785851_n10365927_533226363470432_1019740630056810936_n10360846_533345890125146_4235717117667988933_n10443652_533346006791801_3607087813027923545_n10464094_533345993458469_5580468343924066657_n10462814_533345916791810_1152338278163176156_n10458223_533345880125147_8019264089488661495_n10464391_533346093458459_5656943661249677943_n10488402_533227746803627_9090292289666603347_n10517480_535682766558125_4212253023796475016_n10520093_533345930125142_9038553548394880640_n

Interesting but, are there any trains?

NO, but I didnt see any trains  with the Mayberry Courthouse, so whats up with that. I wanted to share my work, shall I delete it all?

Well rule #2 in the Terms of Service under Posting Guidelines is...

The Forum is for discussing trains. If what you're posting isn't train-related, don't post it.

Funny how I did not see a message like this on the Mayberry Courthouse forum,   and IF I remember right, there was never a TRAIN on The Andy Griffith Show, but there were Trains on Bonanza.

Jesse-
I can't help but feel repeatedly criticised by you in this thread. The Mayberry Courthouse is a scale model I produced in 1:48 scale which by the way is O GAUGE and this is the O GAUGE railroad forum.

At first I made a little joke about it- but I'm growing rather tired of it.

Ignore them.  How is this NOT train related.  It is model making.  A very big part of the Train Experience.  This is pretty cool.  I love the figures too.  Nice work and thanks for sharing.  I think this would look great on a train layout.  If anything perhaps it could be moved to the scenery section if it bothers folks so much.

Yep guys......model making is a big part of the hobby experience.  This particular Ponderosa model could certainly be used in the background of a 1/13.5 scale layout.  Everyone has an opinion, if you don't agree, just don't let it get under your skin...move on and enjoy the forum and the many talents that ALL of the members have....

Thank you,  It was Displayed in Culver City California at the Allied Model Trains store in the mid to late 90's, for several years

Great looking model from a great old show! Very nice work. As others have said above modeling is a big part of model railroading. I think we can all learn something from others work no matter the scale. Thanks for posting and sharing with us. I for one would like to see more of your work if you have more pictures/buildings etc. I also used to watch the show when I was a kid, even remember back when Adam was still on the show.
