While researching about the real Iowa town depicted on my layout, I found that the mighty Wabash took over the previous RR.  Cool I will see what MTH steamers MTH has, ah the 30-1732-1 would fill the ticket.  DRATS, MTH cancelled production, no reason given.

So thus my wine that I have posted here before, seems MTH throws out those neat computer generated pictures, but then if they don't have "a million" pre-orders, they cancel.  Of course I completely understand MTH money resources and where to allocate them.  But darn, the only thing MTH shows for Wabash are those "humming boxes on wheels" as Joshua Cowen labeled diesels, or older steamers with proto sounds, PS1 or 2 guts.  I suppose if I was really determined, I would buy an older engine then hire one of you techies to convert to PS3 (assuming no fit problems, and available sound file).  But then the cost would probably get close to $750-1K.

Yes, pass the cheese plate with my w(h)ine refill, please.

Hi There RRMAN

I too want a Wabash engine .   I hope a GP-7 or 9 in RailKing or RailKING Scale .

Maybe Lionel  will make a LION CHIEF plus Gp-9 in Wabash colors .

The era I model is steam, though I have all the MTH steam and diesels made for the Pittsburgh and West Virginia RR (absorbed by the N&W along with Wabash) and run those, but thought it would be neat to have a Wabash steamer that would have chugged through Imogene Iowa town depicted (with liberal artistic license) on our layout.
