This is Part-2 of my wiring plan, focusing on DZ1000 Switch Machine and DZ1002 controller wiring.

I will have all DZ1002 remote controllers mounted on the table top, at the front edge, logically per track section. The Yellow, Green and Black (Common) wires, from each DZ1002 controller, will will drop through, and connect to a terminal strip under the table.

The Yellow, Green and Red (Hot) wires from each DZ1000 switch machine will drop thru and connect to a second terminal strip under the table.

Between each controller and switch machine terminal strip pair, I plan to run 28 gauge YELLOW and GREEN wires, to match up to the factory wiring colors. I plan to use 18 gauge WHITE wire to corispond with all Red (Hot) wires from the switch machines. I plan to use 18 gauge BLUE wire to corispond to all Black (Common) wires from the controllers.

(White) Hot and (Blue) Common wire has been chosen to help distinguish between these, and the (Red) Hot and (Black) Common track feed wires. These Hot and Common wires will all go to master terminal strips that will be fed by one of the ZW accessory feeds.

When wiring in pairs or larger groups, I will use additional terminal strips to gang up the appropriate wires, however, the wire size and collor scheme will remain as detailed above.

Any thoughts?

Black is just what my mind sees for common, as diagrams always use Red for Hot, and Black for Common.

So, for track power I am using Red for Hot, and Black for common.

For the switch machines format, I am using White for Hot, and Blue Common.

This differentiates track power from switch machine power, and keeps the lighter colors, (Red and White) for Hot, and the darker colors (Black and Blue) for Common.
