I texted my local dealer...  did not hear back if there is anything they are doing.  I would go there and buy something if Lionel was giving out goodies like before...

Looks like there just isnt the backing...

Thanks for checking, Bob. Tom wasn't on this years list, so it looks like he declined to participate. He was listed last year, and I attended, but again, he didn't do anything for the event.

TRW,

Go to Facebook and on the Nassau Hobby Center page they posted a video yesterday.  They talk about the free give-aways.

Thanks for the heads-up, Stu. I watched Chris's video, but all they showed were the same items (stickers, drink holders and solid-blue wrist bands) from past years. I wonder if those were leftovers, or if Lionel just sent available inventory from prior events.

TRW

Todd...

Last year Tom gave away the wrist bands, thats all I recall...

I naturally would support this if it was an event of some sort...

I would love them to do a t shirt...  there are all the crowd sponsored t shirt places.  Seems like a cool t shirt to have.  There certainly is alot of great 50s catalog art that could be the basis for a Lionel train day  t shirt...

Spent a few hours at Nassau Hobby Center toady. They were handing out the promotional items, had many snacks, and a face painter and balloon figures. A nice and steady crowd all afternoon. Quite a few Lionel train sets left the store.  Chris Thanks for letting me hang out talking trains with the customers and promote the club open house events. much appreciated.

Steve
