I will be around but probably cannot get to the downtown area. 
Been thinking about it.
New England Central & Vermont Rail Systems will be whisking us off to Waterbury tomorrow for a day of special displays, exhibits, and slide-shows, then back to Essex Junction!

I wish I could head up. 17 is a small engine, but she puts on a big show.
It's pretty interesting to think that this little tank engine, built to slowly trundle freight cars in the yards of New York Shipbuilding during WWII (and meant to be operated by a single crewman no less!), now pulls five-car passenger trains at 15 miles an hour!
(That may not seem like a lot, but she's a switch engine, for Pete's sake!

Nope. I will be celebrating National Train Day by "playing" in my other hobby. Brewing Beer. hahaha
