There are some obvious reasons why you would want to restrict links to eBay. For example, sellers could put up something and promote it excessively.

There are companies and individuals that pay for advertising on this website and they would not appreciate you leading them elsewhere. I've wondered why these advertisers don't chime in more often with their own solutions. They must be very busy and that's good.

I think OGR has done a good job with this forum and maintains a respectable place for anyone to visit. Others that I've seen are not so well behaved. And unless you like being around the type of language that is used in the movies all the time, the restrictions here are refreshing. I just wish they could improve everyone's spelling.

Whether or not direct eBay links are allowed, the practical problem is they go stale after about 6 months.  Same problem with eBay listing #'s.  So far I seem to have good luck posting images of the listing (that is, they seem to still be around 5 years hence).  I figure anyone can use key words of the listing description and find a current listing for the item.

So, for example, if you search for  6-30V timer relay module  you'll find the 4-button module for about $3.  Also shown is what appears to be a US based seller (California) for a bit more coin.  I've noticed Amazon has started listing these eBay electronic modules although you need to carefully read whether they are shipped from within US or coming from Asia.  For example enter the same search terms in Amazon and you'll get a dozen or so listings for what appears to be the same 4-button module.  Sometimes Amazon listings will have buyer comments, reviews, or Q&A in English which can reveal useful technical information that you won't find in eBay listings.

Anyway, here are the instructions I used for the 4-button module in my example.  It can be a challenge to muddle through the poor translation.  If you do end up with this particular module and run into problems getting it properly configured, post to this thread and I'll see if I can help.

Of course Stan is right about direct links and eBay product numbers. They do change over time. Better to explain what to look for in as much detail as possible. I will continue to use the numbers where expedience is required. And if they go stale, that's okay. But for the sake of stability, I will also include a good search description. I think that will be within the rules of the forum.

Well the slow boat from China finally arrived, and I got my new 3 button circuit board (I could have sworn I ordered a 4 button???).  Of course, there were no instructions, but with the input here and a lot of trial-and-error, I finally got it to program so it works.  I had to use P3.1 with L1 =15 seconds (time setting 1) and L2=4 seconds, with 1 cycle programmed.

Thanks to everyone here that chimed in to help!!!!

Yup, that same thing happened to me a while back - received the 3-button instead of the 4-button.  To each his own if worth the bother but I complained and the seller refunded me a couple bucks or something like that.  It's just that I already had the 3-button version and really wanted to mess with the 4-button version!
