Need Help With Kline/Lionel Engines

The other switches are usually found under the edge of the frame above the trucks.

Thanks. They must be very small, that is the first place I looked. I will take out the magnifier tonight. Thanks for the response. I guess if I find them, the next step(s) would be the reset.

Are these engines the one's from the KCC that Lionel delivered after K-lines demise?

The reverse switch don't sound right to me, are you sure it's not the run/program switch. I would think they would have kept all the switches close.

If I remmember correctly, you don't have a run/program switch. The switch is either the cruise switch or the reverse switch thats used for programming. I think its the reverse switch. Try one and then the other.

Doug, Bill thanks for the replies. Yes, it is the Kline club engine delivered by Lionel. Also, I believe it might have been Davis trains who had me set it up and both of the engines ran fine under TMCC. That was 3 years or so back and, of course, I have since lost the info. At least now I know I am not losing it. The issue now is to figure out which switch is which. The smoke unit is definitely correct. That leaves the reverse, cruise and sounds switches. Come to think of it, the sounds switch seems to do what it is supposed to. So it looks like the reverse and cruise might be the ones. I will try to run conventional until the weekend when I can set up my TMCC. Again, thanks, guys.

I received a reply from Dean Brasseur about the switch. "The reverse switch is the program switch in the off position." Thanks Dean and those of you who contributed. Sorry to ask but, can this engine run in conventional?

There should be no problem running the engine in conventional mode. Leave the switch in the Run position and it'll act like a locomotive with a three speed E-Unit.

Hi all. The setting of the reverse switch is the program switch. Both engines were set up and do everything they should do in command. Unfortunately, conventional is inoperative. I can live with that. Thanks to all for the help.
