Need help with Lionel CAB-1 remote

My kids and I just got a used TMCC system and everything was working perfectly! Then last night my youngest left the remote on the floor and my wife’s rabbit ate all the rubber buttons off the numeric pad! Is there a source for the Lionel replacement rubber pad (Lionel part number 6SP2868065)?

Or does anyone have a trick to rebuilding the buttons such that little fingers can press them and make the system work?
