I have a Jenney Gasoline tank car, O gauge, in a unmarked box, the number JMCX 1794 is on the tank but I cannot find a Lionel number for the car and I could not find anything via my usual searches.

I would appreciate any help in identifying what this car is and the model number, also if you know the history, is it from a set, etc.

Thanks as always.

I had looked at that but the manufacturers number that they show, 6-1794, does not exist.  I assume they just took a short cut and assumed the number on the tank was the model number.  I could not find 6-1794 on the Lionel website or in Greenberg's guide.  So, still looking for the correct Lionel model number.

Based on the web page, this kinda sums it up.

In 1968, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of NETCA's formation, an American Flyer caboose with a Pilgrim hat motif was issued. In 1972 it was decided to start a program issuing a NETCA commemorative car each year based on New England railroads, or well known New England companies. The following is a list of items provided to date. "click" on the year to see a picture of the car.
