Neoprene foam rubber sheets for noise barrier or cork?

Thinking about getting neoprene foam rubber noise barrier for my road bed under the track 1/8" or 1/4" or would cork still be better it is cheaper $110 for a .125"x4'x50' roll and $118 for a .25"x4'x50' roll? I will also be using fiberboard on top of all the plywood eh

I've been using 4ft rolls of cork side by side. The only thing that could be an issue is - the cork will tend to separate almost 1/8 inch in the summer and/or less in the winter. My layout is 8 x 16. No one seems to mind the groove separation above.
