got tired of my old design, and I bought 4 new switches. so I started all over, the layout is 70% done. still need to wire all of the lights in the buildings, wire the new burning hobo hut, the revolving beacon, the billboard sign, the crossing signals, hang the WWII k-line airplanes, and finish the telegraph wire. and still need to build the three ameri-town buildings that will go across the street from homer city and the starlight diner.

Being in the highway industry I have one comment. Boy are those yellow lines wide!!!

I have a very similar track plan in 027 on a 4*8 sheet, glad to see great minds think alike What did you use for your roadbed? Thanks for putting up the photos I have been trying to figure out what to do for buildings and such, it gave me some ideas.
Looks great, with lots of interesting structures and accessories. It is too bad though that you have run such an old rusty steam engine on you nice new layout

I really enjoy seeing what some of you are doing on a 4x8 foot platform. Nice work! I'm working on a shelf layout in small 11x8 foot room. So I'm dealing with a small space too.

the roadbed is foam poster board from the dollar store.
did some more work today, finally made my three ameri-town buildings. three RAF pilots are over in the USA to test out there planes. and the telegraph poles and wire have seen some heavy wind damage, love the casino sign on the building. still have to wire all of the lights and accessories.
